Challenge:
The application required a power supply, a high quantity of different signals and a bus connection in only one connector. Furthermore we had to guarantee, that the handling of the connector could be realized trouble-free by non-professionals, even after thousands of connection-cycles.

Our Solution:
Parallel development of a custom-made circular connector with our partner connector company and the design of a hybrid cable that fits into this special connector. This cable had to fit exactly into the conductor and the construction of it had to be coordinated in that way, that a fast and practicable assembly could be guaranteed. In order to realize a very low diameter of the cable we decided to use a new developed insulation material.
