Use of system solutions

The ideal situation is to cover the complete electrical installation for a machine with one plug and play solution. An essential fact for a successful solution is to realize a definitely complete solution without exceptions. Often such a system is mistakenly considered as only a bundle of cable assemblies. In order to provide the best benefit to the customer, the following components should be covered by such a system solution:
- The complete range of cable assemblies
- Sensors, switches… etc.
- Diverse hydraulic components
- Diverse pneumatic components
- Assembled conductor boards
- Sheet metal parts
- Turning- and milling parts
- Cable tray systems
- Chain systems
- Mounting material
- Customized cable labelling
- Special transport containers
- Direct shipment to the machine just in time
The big difference between the conventional method and our method is the presence of our engineers even during the design phase of the machine. This enables us to influence the design phase right from the start and the customer does not give away his know-how about the construction that he has developed for several years.
The first job that has to be done is to define the best way of installation and to select the appropriate components. After the agreement and detailed documentation about the best solution for the customer’s application we start to buy the complete range of the components. We can usually us a lot of components from our stock, because a lot of the components are standard equipment for the machinery industry and therefore always kept in our stock. The following procedure is absolutely variable. It depends on the structure of the machine, if we produce an economical quantity of an assembly unit, or if we just produce one assembly unit on demand. However, finally the assembly unit will be supplied 100% tested directly to the machine. There are a lot of advantages for the machinery industry with this procedure: the purchasing department only has to do the negotiation for one part with one supplier, not for a lot of components with a lot of suppliers and the planning department only has to plan the timeline for one part, not for all of the components. The receiving department benefits from this procedure in the same way. They only have to do one booking for a 100% tested assembly unit instead of a lot of quantity and quality controls and bookings. Because of quality management certificates and agreements the customer could pass the delivery directly into the production without the long testing procedure. A result of that is an enormous effort reduction in the customer's warehouse. Another reason for the cost reduction is of course the easier installation of the unit and the positive consequence that no wiring error can occur, because of the 100% tested equipment.
